Cinematographer Frank Martin, Filmmaker Greg Frank and Pete and Elaine Monella from Powerhouse Equipment rental have joined together to form Powerhouse Films.

The creation of high end commercial and feature length projects using either traditional film cinema cameras or the newest in 4K digital cinema RED cameras.

How We Do It
We believe by merging the newest lighting techniques including LED, lightweight lanterns and balloons, Kino-Flo and new highly efficient HMI's with the new RED camera systems we can create 35mm quality content that can be color corrected in a variety of cost effective to color correct on a macbook pro with no rawstock charges, no process charges and no telecine charges albeit with a longer timeline. We bring the editorial dept. into the project earlier while shooting using a digital asset manager thusly streamlining workflow saving time and money in post by binning and transcoding quicktimes for Mac, creating DPX files for AVID Some director's are even pulling selects during relight and lunch! We have everything you need under one roof including 48' production vans,specialty rigging and lighting, RED 4K digital cameras, 35mm and 16mm film packages. We post on a eight core macs (final cut) and or 8 core windows machines(CS4) and then usually finish on a lustre or devinci system for final delivery but if your budget is tight we can finish in house. We invite producers and Directors to come and try the newest, fastest and highly rewarding methods of commercial and feature cinema. These are very exciting times!
